CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Abstract submission deadline: 15 April 09

Abstracts for papers and posters are invited in areas relevant to the work of the Cochrane Collaboration, systematic reviews methods, evidence-based health care and knowledge translation. The submission of abstracts containing the results of individual systematic reviews is not encouraged unless the review highlights broader methodological or organisational issues.

Topic areas When you are ready to upload and submit your abstract, you will be asked to assign one of the following topic areas:

Consumer issues and shared decision making
Diagnostic test accuracy review methods
Editorial processes and supporting review authors
Education and training
Global health and equity
Knowledge translation and communicating evidence
Information and communication technology (ICT)
Investigating bias Methods for preparing reviews (non-statistical)
Searching and information retrieval
Statistical methods

Types of presentation Presenters of oral papers will be allocated 20 minutes (13 minutes for the presentation and seven minutes for questions).  Poster presenters will be invited to submit the electronic version of their poster in advance of the Colloquium to create a virtual space on the Colloquium website.

Abstract acknowledgement A confirmation email will automatically be sent to the person submitting the abstract indicating receipt of your abstract. Changes to abstracts can be made up until the deadline by uploading a replacement file. Please note that all correspondence will be sent to the email address of the person submitting the abstract.

Abstract acceptance Members of the Abstract Committee will assess all abstracts and notification of acceptance will be given by Monday 18 May 09. Please note that final acceptance of a paper or poster in the Colloquium programme is conditional on at least one of the listed authors being registered for the Colloquium.
