ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS

Contributors to the Collaboration and delegates attending the Colloquium are warmly invited to attend the Annual General Meetings (AGMs) of The Cochrane Collaboration and the Collaboration Trading Company Limited. The first formal part of the AGM satisfies the legal requirements of charities and is usually quite short (about 20 minutes). The second part is more informal and is an opportunity to discuss key issues facing the Collaboration. A portion of the AGM in Singapore will be devoted to a discussion of the recently completed strategic review of the Collaboration and the Steering Group's responses to it. In keeping with the call in the review for an "ongoing participatory approach to strategy formation" we will follow the approach piloted by Jeremy Grimshaw in last year's AGM to stimulate discussion and solicit ideas about several of its key recommendations. This is also a chance to see who has been elected to the Steering Group to represent the interests of your particular entity or constituency. The agenda and background papers are emailed to the contact people of all Cochrane entities in advance. Entity representatives can sign up now by completing the online form.
